The lodge to-do list is nearly complete, but we had to pause for a very important piece of "market research." 🧖‍♀️
Testing the saltwater hot tubs was an absolute must, and we can confirm they leave your skin feeling amazingly smooth. Sitting here in total peace, surrounded by the vibrant colours of the trees and the unique feather accents in our fence panels... we almost didn't want to get out.
We can't wait to share this slice of paradise with our guests very soon. 🍂✨

I absolutely love how our cameras are catching the incredible variety of wildlife right outside our door lately.

From the late-night visits of tawny owls 🦉 to today’s gorgeous surprise—woodpeckers hanging out right on our daughter's treehouse! 🥰🪵

It will be such a treat for anyone visiting the lodges to see the countryside come alive like this. There is always some native wildlife making an appearance! 🦆🦊

It is amazing what you can spot when you just stop and look. Feeling so lucky to share our space with these beautiful birds. ✨
Should I start a wildlife photo gallery tab on the website, so when it’s up and running guests will be able to share their photos and wildlife experiences during their stay ?

✨ The Art of Luxury Living ✨

I’m so excited to finally show you a larger piece I’ve been working on for the lodges!
It carries the same vibe and colour palette as the last but very different in appearance —lots of rich gold leaf, mixtures of gold textures, warm oranges, reds, and just hints of deep blue to balance it all out.

🦉 A little fun detail...
If you look closely at the new piece and keep your eyes peeled, there’s actually an abstract owl hidden within the layers. Let me know if you manage to spot it!

Look who was spotted swooping past the lodges last night! Our night cameras captured this absolutely stunning shot of a tawny owl gliding right over the walkway.
Talk about perfect timing! You can see the incredible detail on its feathers and that impressive wingspan as it silently patrols the grounds. We are completely amazed by this glimpse into the secret nightlife of our woodland neighbors. 🪵✨
Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open if you're staying with us—you might just hear their iconic Too Wit Too Woo echoing through the trees! The call of the Male and Female Owl. Watch this space for website details coming soon. So excited 😊

•After a truly disheartening week, I decided it was time to shake off the slump.

•I’ve put the studio water leak tidying on hold, cleared the decks, and finally got the lodges ready for filming! 🎥

•I’m so happy to share this reveal with you. This piece has been a labor of love—I wanted to capture an abstract sense of feathered movement using a palette of warm golds, aged reds, oranges and just a hint of blue.

•I’m so glad these pieces were safe in my house for the final touches and not left in my studio.

They say when life throws you lemons, make lemonade. But honestly? Right now, I just feel completely numb. How much more can life throw. Does it really make you stronger? JUST BREATHE…ALOT
A water leak just destroyed a lifetime of my artwork including a number of my recent original pieces. My heart is completely melted. To see years of love, sweat, and soul gone in an instant is a level of heartbreak I don’t even have words for.
Don’t worry any recent commissions are all safe luckily kept in my house.

Right now, I’m putting the finishing touches on one last abstract piece to complete the look. Lots of gold, intricate textures, and a little bit of paint on my hands (the sign of a good studio session, right?).
