Colliers Wood Dance classes was started by Tony Townsend (a retired Treasury civil servant) in 2007, as part of the grass roots movement 'Making Colliers Wood Happy'. You might have seen Tony, the gentleman distributing leaflets in the evenings outside the Colliers Wood station. Because it is a 'community activity' we are able to pass the financial benefit of lower room hiring rates to the student
s by way of cheap class prices. Find us in our Community Centre, opposite Marborough Road ( and the Fish & Chips shop). All teachers (ballet, tap, jazz) were formerly professional dancers. Tony organises Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes and the Ballroom classes are now organised by George Tudor-Hart. Mondays : Jazz Dance Classes for Adults – Men & Women, £4 per evening
Beginners: 8.00 to 9.00 pm. and those with experience of Jazz, Modern & Contemporary Dance: 9.00 to 10.00 pm. Wednesdays: Tap dance Classes for Adults- Men and Women -£4 per evening
Beginners 7:30 to 8:30 pm. and Intermediates from 8:30 to 9:30 pm:
Thursdays: Ballet Classes for Adults- Men and women-£5 per Class-
