🎬 Meet Simone Wiles - Champion of Emerging Talent at 2CIFF

Simone is a born‑and‑bred Milton Keynes filmmaker whose journey has taken her from the Midlands to one of the UK’s most respected indie film communities.

After studying at Nottingham Trent University, Simone found her creative home‑away‑from‑home at Beeston Film Festival, working closely with their selection team for several years. Her passion for championing emerging voices has shaped her reputation as someone who spots talent early and lifts it higher.

While she continues to love her work across the Midlands, the opportunity to bring independent film back to her own hometown was something she couldn’t ignore.

This year, Simone joins 2CIFF as a jury member focusing on emerging talent, and will also support the festival as a volunteer production assistant. Her mission?
To build a long‑desired bridge between Milton Keynes and high‑quality independent filmmaking, creating space, opportunity, and visibility for the next generation of storytellers.
