🧡 Today is .

As we reflect on this year's Refugee Week theme, *Courage Belongs to Us All*, we recognise the courage of those who have sought safety and sanctuary, and the courage shown by communities who welcome, support and stand alongside others.

If you're in Milton Keynes today, take a moment to visit the World Refugee Day Pillar at MK Rose in Campbell Park, a lasting symbol of welcome, hope and belonging in our city.

It was an excellent event!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Albert French Commemoration at the Milton Keynes Rose last night.

It was a moving and respectful event, with the Deputy Mayor of MK, local parish residents including Roger Kitchen, the TS Whaddon-Milton Keynes Sea & Royal Marine Cadets, the Royal British Legion and The Western Front Association all in attendance to remember Albert French and honour his sacrifice.

Andrea Vincent, Town Clerk, attended on behalf of Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council and laid a wreath during the ceremony.

It was heartening to see so many people come together to ensure that Albert French's service and memory continue to be remembered.

We’re all looking forward to this!

We had a bigger turn out than usual for Knit in Public Day.
First to arrive were the ladies from Inner Wheel, with their flag, and the pillar toppers which they had kindly knit for previous events.
Next a group of friends arrived who normally meet each Saturday, so decided to make the Rose their meeting place, having seen the event on social media.
Then a family who had also seen the advert came to join us.
The Rose team who were not knitting also had several conversations with casual visitors, who seemed to love the place as much as we do!!
Hope to see you all on the second Saturday in June next year!😀🧶
