That’s the Ozzy original off to its new home tomorrow, when you put a real piece of your heart and soul in to something like this it is always a bit sad to see it go but I know for a fact this one’s going exactly where it’s meant to be 🤙🏼

I have just sorted out the limited edition prints and all being well they will be arriving on Thursday, there will only be 10 this time, hand signed and numbered and with a few surprises that I’m keeping quiet until the day

I started this ages ago but kept putting it off because colour portraits are a whole different beast, I’m pretty sure I started this before the Stephen Graham one, give me a nice black and grey portrait any day 😂

Still, it’s good to challenge yourself sometimes and learn new things along the way

🔥TMNT🔥

12” x 16” 300gsm watercolour paper and oil pastels

Drawing portraits is something I couldn’t live without, I love it!! But the thing with portraits and also with my day job is that there is a certain way things have to look or they are wrong, I enjoy the challenge of trying to get closer and closer to real life with each drawing but it’s very constraining sometimes, like colouring inside the lines all the time so it was a lot of fun to let my hair down and relax with this abstract ninja turtle painting 😎

No lines to follow, no realism to achieve, just a guy being a kid again and painting ninja turtles like I did 30 years ago 🤙 6 year old me came back for a while and he just had fun 🔥

Time goes too fast and that’s what I was kind of going for with this with the shapes and vagueness of the figure, I wanted to lay down the memory of a ninja turtle instead of just straight up drawing one

Anyways cheers for stopping and reading all that nonsense, back to work on the next portrait 💪🏻
