“I’m so incredibly proud and excited to share Louise Roche ’s brilliant new play ❤️
There’s something particularly special about this new piece of work. It feels as though it comes from a place of experience, reflection and a wonderfully unapologetic understanding of what it means to be a woman moving through life, changing, learning, laughing and becoming more completely herself.
Because life teaches us things. Not always gently, and certainly not always in the way we expected. But somewhere along the way, those experiences become wisdom, perspective, resilience — and, thankfully, some very funny stories.
And that’s what I love about this. It doesn’t feel like a story about getting older. It feels like a celebration of everything we gather along the way: the mistakes, the surprises, the friendships, the ridiculous moments, the heartbreaks, the reinventions and that wonderful point in life when you begin to see things — and yourself — a little differently.
It promises to be funny, playful, reflective, powerful and beautifully honest.
I have a feeling that women of a certain age are going to watch it and recognise something of themselves — those wonderful “Oh my God, YES!” moments that make you laugh because somebody has finally said out loud what so many of us have thought.
Louise, I am enormously proud of you and genuinely excited to see this new work come to life. I can’t wait. ❤️
If you get the opportunity to see it — GO
I think you’re going to come away laughing, thinking, and perhaps feeling just a little bit more magnificent about being exactly where you are in life”’
