The impact financially will mean we still need to get sponsors and fun raise even more !!!!
The benifits of the event being free still remain important as explained below .

A free community event attracting over 15,000 visitors can deliver significant benefits to the town. Increased footfall boosts the local economy as visitors spend money in shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and other local businesses. The event can also encourage overnight stays in local hotels, guesthouses, and accommodation providers, generating additional revenue for the hospitality sector. We are working on becoming a charity so we can apply for grants .
We still remain committed to growing the event to include a lot more of the town .

We are grateful for the sponsors continued suppprt which helps support the event surviving .

We have a couople more cheques to clear and we’ll be in a position to say our out going, incoming and any carry over 🤞🤞🤞thankyou for everyone ongoing support

We the 1940 weekend are truly sorry for all the stress caused over the parking tickets being sent out .

We are contacting mmte daily with updates .
We can not directly contact the car parking company as they don’t work for us , we can only deal with mmte who we hired the carpark from .
