My heart is FULL.

Thank you SO much to everybody that came along, joined in and had a go at making their own mending patches today. So many smiling faces, joyful moments and quiet concentration filled the room as well as many a conversation about how much is already accessible to us, simply by using what we already own. Mending is most certainly contagious!

Thank you to the awesome teams DerbyshireMakes Masson Mills Textile Museum By Milestone local for an incredible opportunity to be amongst so many talented and inspiring women at this years ‘Women Who Make’ event. Cannot wait for next years already!

Who dares me?

I have been toying with making this jumper into a cardigan for a while. This chunky zip seems like the perfect zip to make that happen don’t you think? 🤔🤩

There is nothing I love more than playing around with old fabrics, especially if it is denim.

A reverse appliqué heart, over stitched with a Sashiko foundation mending stitch. I’m going to use this patch to pop over a hole in a jacket.

So excited for this fantastic event. Pop October 10th in your diaries. You don’t want to miss this 🤩

Couldn’t believe it came undone. One mend later it’s like the hole was never there ❤️💛💙💚

My heart is full! 🧡

She’s finished. I have LOVED every single stitch that has gone into this quilt. The fabric is Tilda Fabrics UK a fabric that holds beautiful memories of time spent living in Europe. It reminds me of when the boys were small and all the fabulous fabric markets that we used to walk around.

I am SO grateful to Ann from Heirs&Graces for her vast knowledge and teaching me how to make this quilt. I have learned so much from her and highly recommend her patchwork course. Not only do you learn, you meet some fabulous people along the way too 🧡

She’s washed, dried and ready to use. Bring on the cosy autumn evenings 🧡🧡🧡
