Welcome to Georgie Weedon Art, thanks for popping in! Thanks for joining the journey! Thanks to Abingdon Road Studios, we now have a first draft of a song.

For original artwork https://www.georgieweedonart.com I made a resolution to write and record more music this year and so far so good. We recorded it last Tuesday 10th Jan 2017. It’s called Bluebird and was inspired by a post my friend and artist/entrepreneur Stephen Stapleton made some time back of a Charles Bukowski poem. Thanks Steve!

And thanks to Campden - and Higgins - without whom none of this would be happening. Will post our song over the weekend. In the meantime, thanks again for joining this journey - I’m excited!

Wind in your hair like you just don’t care!

Today was all about the sense of freedom and opening up the sea gives you. The sense of space, of time, of possibility. Whispers on the wind.

Cake and flowers - simple moments of joy!

I’m currently focussing on this as an idea because I often get told my paintings bring joy.

This is my favourite coffee house (also does a mean mushroom on toast and cake 🤩) - so I have painted a still life of things that bring me joy. I hope the painting does the same for the cafe. (It’s also for sale and now has a label to explain as much.

What would you paint if you had to record a simple moment of joy? I’m doing more research into this and genuinely interested 💫
