Vocal Sounds is looking for lower voices as we head into our autumn season. If you’ve sung before, haven’t sung in years, or aren’t completely sure whether you’re a tenor or bass, come and try us.

This Sunday, **Monton Unitarian Church** is marking **100 Years of Salford** with a special celebratory service, and **Vocal Sounds will be singing as part of the service**. 🧡🎶

📅 **Sunday 16 August**
🕒 **3pm**
📍 **Monton Unitarian Church**
🎟️ **Free entry, everyone welcome**

Afterwards, the celebrations continue with **tea and cake in the church hall**. ☕🍰

Donations on the day will support the **Mayor of Salford’s Charity Fund**.

We’re looking forward to adding our voices to the church’s celebration of this very special Salford milestone. If you’re local, do come along!

Choir is more than singing the right notes.

A recent post from choral director Chris Maunu (Chris Maunu ) got us thinking about something we feel every Thursday night: choir is one of the few places where we still have to be fully present with other people.
We breathe together. We listen. We adjust. We respond.

And the research suggests our bodies are doing something remarkable too, from synchronising heart rhythms to building social connection surprisingly quickly.

That idea became our latest blog post: The last place we practise being together.
