This weekend I photographed the behind the scenes experiences in Stockport’s whilst recording a short film.
decided to make a film about her and her performances which lead to bringing together friends and family as extras for this wonderful production
I never had chance!
When people ask about my interest in photography and starting my own business they often wonder why I didn’t start earlier in life.
My answer is always that growing up I never really felt I had the chance to turn my love of photography into a career.
So when I did start eventually get my backside in gear and pursue that dream, I made a commitment that I would always try to encourage people to take a chance and to promote accessibility and inclusion.
Last week I got a chance to do that when visiting Trafford College in Altrincham.
Invited by Marlene Miller after being recommended by Hilary Orr to give a presentation about my work and provide advice on turning an interest into a business.
It was a pleasure to meet a group of engaged and talented young photographers.
We did a session on setting up and using a small photography kit and this image, made by Abigail, was the wrap up of our time together.
It’s great to see how the College is supporting creative industries, it would have been a dream, as a teen, to walk into the studios they have and learn.
London lit the sky up for my last night there!
Shame it also decided to cancel my trains 🤦🏻♂️🤣
