Added foil to bulk out his belly... And now the fun game starts of trying to smooth his torso to perfection so that it looks like metal. Using a variety of palette knifes... Although right now I feel like I smooth one area and push another out of place 😂

With the sketch done, time for the real robot.

Using tubes for the arms and legs, both to allow the wire for the LEDs to run up the body but also because it looks amazing.

Bending the tubes was extremely hard 😂🫣 it took two of us and we have some snapped tubes from where it suddenly went too well....

Between the littles being off for Easter Holidays and attending a lovely wedding, there hasn't been much time to work on...

Between the littles being off for Easter Holidays and attending a lovely wedding, there hasn't been much time to work on my robot.

Here is the finished sketch, I enjoyed sculpting him so much I couldn't stop and got carried away with all the details. Tried out a couple of extra heads... Might have to make a few more robots 😂

Now to catch up before the lesson on Sunday.

As per usual I forgot to take progress photos.

Surprised myself as I enjoyed finding this character so much... I just couldn't stop. He was meant to be a sketch but I literally couldn't stop playing 😂

Quite like the tubby oven-like belly and skinny legs. Not sure on the guard at the top yet.

After a few months of being unable to sculpt due to a herniated disc in my back, I'm finally on the mend, just in time to attempt the Cnotbusch Robot course.

Unfortunately, my poor dragon is still waiting for his scales, and he'll have to be patient a bit longer.

Slow progress on my procrastination project. I may have remade this little face more than a few times 😆 It's the eyes... I have a fae-like character in my head, similar a house brownie, so went with the dark eyes... not sure it works.

Before I try catch up on my dragon I felt like sculpting a little face... I'd quite like to try exaggerating the feature...
