Right folks, I've been asked to put a night together to raise awareness for this kick starter project to make a film about the life of the incredible Shirley Collins. Hopefully this will strike a chord with anyone aware of her huge talent and unprecedented influence on both American folk heritage and the British folk revival of the 60's. The campaign only runs for a month so I've got a date on hold at Mono for Friday July 18th. If anyone would care to play or get involved in any way give me a shout. We've got a couple of short films to play downstairs and would love to get as many fans as possible from amongst our talented peers to cover a few songs of Shirley's or the traditional numbers she helped preserve.
