Promotional Postcard Set by Jamie Hewlett – Gorillaz Debut Album with Camo Folder (2001)

A super rare promotional postcard set produced to accompany the release of Gorillaz debut album in 2001.

This original set includes five postcards featuring early artwork by Jamie Hewlett, housed in a distinctive camouflage folder issued at the time of the album’s launch.

Each postcard features illustrations from the Phase 1 debut era, with reverse-side details referencing the original album release and associated singles, including Tomorrow Comes Today and Clint Eastwood.

This item is an original promotional release and is offered here as a secondary-market collectible/archive piece.

Jamie Hewlett – Gorillaz – Limited Edition Screen Print – Russel, Yellow River (2005)

A rare limited edition Gorillaz silk screen from 2004, published by Pictures on Walls, London

One of Jamie’s earlier prints for Pictures on Walls, Russel was released in 2004, and is a hand-pulled, three-colour silk screen featuring phase two illustrations from the Demon Days rear album cover artwork.

Pictures on Walls published this piece alongside other Gorillaz prints, such as Noodle Gob, Murdoc, and 2D, to coincide with the release of Gorillaz second studio album, Demon Days, in May 2005.

The print, now sold out and extremely rare, features a Pictures on Walls blind stamp, is hand-numbered, and comes with original POW branded tissue paper and paperwork.

Gorillaz – Stained Glass Window Print – Small Window Left (2005) by Jamie Hewlett

A rare, 20-year-old example of Jamie Hewlett’s early Gorillaz work, published by the now-defunct Pictures on Walls, founded by Banksy and Jamie Hewlett.

Published in conjunction with the release of Gorillaz second album, Demon Days, in May 2005, these stained glass pieces utilised advanced print techniques that were innovative for their era.

POW description: ‘A beautiful piece of work. Made around the time of Gorillaz ‘Demon Days’ album – arguably still one of the 21st Century’s most coherent masterpieces.‘

Strictly limited in its worldwide release, each piece is lithographically printed with silkscreen finishing on heavyweight cotton fibre rag paper. The printing technique creates a raised, textured effect that mimics the leadwork of stained glass.

Each piece is hand numbered with a matching edition number, accompanied by the Pictures on Walls blind stamp.
