For this week's guest mix, we welcome @k.h0lle who is quickly becoming a familiar face on the Manchester scene. He has recently made his club debut, warming up the party for Bluetoof and Polyphylum, then later on in the same night repping Lightspeed events at XLR. He is also heavily involved in the queer music scene, having played a guest mix for long-running queer night, High Hoops. Next week, he will be involved in the Rainy City Radio Takeover for Manchester queer collective, Tough Act. In his mix, he will dot the line between trance, techno and house. Expect leftfield blends, transcendental melodies and pumping club tunes. Lock in Saturday at 8PM! ⭐️

For this week’s installment of the guest mix, we have an exciting double takeover by @jonas.nisse and @johnnypbarber 😮💨
JOHNNY: “I’m going to be playing some jungle/jungle techno and maybe a bit or hardcore, all either old skool stuff or new but still true to the early 90s sound. I’d say my biggest influences have been going to parties like Distant Planet in South east London. They run all vinyl parties sticking true to the roots of rave music and they really know how to do it well. I’d always been interested in vinyl but I think after going to my first DP rave was what really made me want to pursue it. The energy and atmosphere is just unmatched and I hope to bring some of the same vibes with what I’m doing.”
JONAS: Inspired by the recent jungle revival in London, Jonas also draws inspiration from the Distant Planet crew, as well as future retro label. Expect to hear an eclectic blend of newer jungle and hardcore sounds reminiscent of the likes of Coco Bryce and Sherelle!

ONCE A MONTH CHARITY GIG -next week at fuel !!!
we’re putting on a charity gig with @uom_onceamonth and @gigsandbandsmcr on the 24th November at @fuelcafebar !!
we have an amazing line up of female artists to collect donations and raise money for Once a Month, a period poverty charity. Entry is simply the donation of period and sanitary products, including hygiene products like soap, shampoo, flannels etc. We will also be collecting donations and £3 entry if you can’t bring a product down !
Not only will you be supporting an amazing local charity in coming down but you will also have the privilege of seeing some amazing local female talent !!

For week 3 of the guest mix series we welcome RSP. Not only is he a @hiddenthursdaysmcr resident, he is also making waves on @unityradiofm ... He has also recently teamed up with @djgraciet for her @threadsradio show ‘tiny okra’. Not to mention he is also involved with @dr3sounds - a platform helping to showcase upcoming djs in Manchester. He is definitely one to watch! Expect to hear a unique blend of south asian flavours combined with garage, breaks and more! This Wednesday, alongside Gigs and Bands, we are hosting a night of epic music for Once a Month: a student led project aiming to eradicate period poverty in Manchester!
Expect a night jam-packed with local female and non-binary talent, such as Mei Mei, CatBandCat, Rosie Charles plus acoustic support acts.
All you need are sanitary products to donate on the door and you’re in for a musical extravaganza!
We are holding a podcast training workshop on Wednesday 10th November for Fuse FM podcast hosts or anyone else interested in storytelling, audio editing and marketing. The workshop will cover:
1. Storytelling (led by Daniella, Head of Podcasting): how to structure your podcast and what to look out for in the recording session
2. Audio editing (led by Latetitia, Station Manager): how to edit your show in Audacity and Anchor (e.g. level, volume, mixing)
3. Marketing & Branding (led by the SU Marketing team): how to advertise your show
