Why did I choose weddings over clubs?
Clubs are the ultimate destination right?
I was lucky enough to have held several long term residencies at several respectable clubs over the years, playing alongside and supporting some of the best DJs in their field, helping and giving out opportunities to hundreds of upcoming DJs.
But like a lot of people, COVID gave me time to reflect. When things opened back up, something had shifted. I wasn’t enjoying it in the same way anymore.
I made the move from an underground house club into a more mainstream environment, which helped reignite that spark for me, but it also made me realise something bigger.
I’d built up a skillset over the years that went far beyond what I was doing in clubs. I knew how to communicate, read crowds well, switch genres seamlessly, and create an atmosphere from nothing. That’s when I knew I could transfer what I had onto your wedding dancefloor.
Weddings aren’t just gigs. It’s a much more personal involvement.
You’re part of someone’s biggest day of their life. You’re responsible for moments people remember forever, the first dance, the dancefloor memories, the energy in the room & the emotions.
That feeling beats any club set for me.
So I invested in myself, my brand, my appearance, I upgraded my setup, and made that transition into weddings.
It was the best decision I made, and I’ve never looked back.
Now, instead of just playing music, I help create memories for couples and their guests, seeing the appreciation unfold, the joy, the tears & the love amongst people in that room and that’s my ultimate destination!
