This September 27th, punk rock royalty comes to Edinburgh.
TV Smith - lead singer, songwriter, and driving force behind legendary first-wave UK punk band The Adverts - brings The Bored Teenagers to the world-famous Bannermans Bar. With a career spanning nearly five decades, TV has continued to write, record, and tour relentlessly since the late 1970s, earning his place as one of punk’s most enduring and respected voices. 🔥

Expect classics from The Adverts alongside favourites from TV’s extensive solo catalogue, performed by a band dedicated to keeping these songs alive and louder than ever. 🔥

Opening the night is Scotland’s own Billy Liar, who has been a frequent collaborator and friend of TV for many years, whose touring schedule has taken him around the world. With acclaimed releases on Pirates Press Records and Red Scare Industries, Billy has built a reputation as one of the finest songwriters in contemporary punk rock - even earning praise from Rancid’s Tim Armstrong, who called him “one of my favourite songwriters.” 🔥

Some tour days are spent just travelling, watching the towns go by and feeling the buzz of the tarmac. We get to see a lot of petrol stations and these days I try not to eat so many crisps. 💔

But sometimes we get to stop and experience something truly magical. And Dog Mountain by the late great artist Stephen Huneck is one of those places. If you love dogs like we do and you’re ever travelling through Vermont, make sure you catch it. 🐕❤️

One year ago we crash landed in Las Vegas with zero clue how wild the next few days would become. 🥳

My first ever Punk Rock Bowling with The Haunted Hearts. ♥️ Sharing an extremely sold-out and hotly anticipated show with Dillinger Four, Swingin Utters, Dead To Me and 1876 was insane - and somehow Dead To Me went from heroes to UK tour comrades not long after. 💣 🍌

No Punk Rock Bowling this year. 💔 Missing it a lot but hearing whispers that the PRB camp might have news soon… 👀
Until then - here’s to last year. 🤘 Vegas, you were beautiful. 🖤

Shout out to the acoustic punks! 🤘

If you’ve only caught snippets here and there, you might still think I’m mainly out there solo with an acoustic guitar - and to be fair, I did spend many, many years touring that way. But these days, I’m just as likely to be playing with The Haunted Hearts backing me up. Still loud. Still heartfelt. Just bigger now. 💥

At Pouzza Fest in Montreal, though, it was a real pleasure to play an acoustic set earlier in the day - thank you to everyone who came along and sang with me. Those moments always mean a lot. ♥️
