🚨 JOE McMAHON & BILLY LIAR - EUROPEAN TOUR 2026 🚨

Next month, two longtime friends, collaborators and punk singer-songwriters reunite for their first tour together since 2017. 💣

From years spent on the road to the recording studio, where Joe produced Billy’s last two albums, Some Legacy and Crisis Actor, this is a long-overdue reunion played out in front of an audience that was built on friendship, shared history and a love of punk rock and songwriting. 🖤

Presented by City Rat Booking, with select and special dates across Germany, Hungary, Austria and the Czech Republic, this is a tour you won’t want to miss. 🔥

Two songwriters. Years of friendship. One long-overdue reunion.

Full dates on the poster.

Hot on the heels of their extremely successful UK run last week with The Bored Teenagers, we’re thrilled to announce that TV Smith (The Adverts) & Billy Liar will be touring Scotland once again for three very special, intimate performances at the end of January! 🖤🔥

Tickets: https://linktr.ee/thebillyliar

HEADLINER: TV SMITH
Legendary frontman of The Adverts, one of the original 1976/77 UK punk bands, and one of the finest songwriters to emerge from the first wave of punk, TV Smith has never stopped evolving. Decades into an uncompromising career, he’s still touring relentlessly, still writing incredible songs, and still proving that punk never had an expiry date.

This isn’t nostalgia. This is a living, breathing punk legend, bringing The Adverts’ classic songs to life in a completely, captivating and enthralling show, alongside the outstanding solo material that has made TV Smith one of punk’s most respected and enduring artists.

As Henry Rollins puts it:
“A huge inspiration... the best songwriter of the ‘76/‘77 punk generation.”

SPECIAL GUEST: BILLY LIAR
Edinburgh’s own - but rarely seen on home turf - Billy Liar has built an international reputation through relentless touring and unforgettable performances. Signed to Pirates Press Records, his songs are packed with honesty, melody and punk rock spirit.

As Tim Armstrong of Rancid says:
“Billy Liar is one of my favourite songwriters. Powerful and honest.”

These are going to be very special shows, in three of the best venues in Scotland, and Forfar is limited capacity, so don’t hang about… get your tickets while you can! 🎟️🔥

October 30th. That date means a lot to me. It was my brother Scott Sorry’s birthday. 🖤

This year, we’re throwing a fu***ng huge party and gig in his honour - celebrating Scott the only way we know how: with music, friends, love, a triumphant, joyous noise and a room full of people who knew him, loved him, played with him and were lucky enough to call him a brother. 👊

Tickets: https://linktr.ee/thebillyliar

I’ll be taking the stage in The Sinatras - the punk rock band Scott fronted - alongside remaining members and dear friends Dave Kerr, Rich Jones and Danzig’s Karl Rockfist. 🔥

And it doesn’t stop there. We’ve got an incredible lineup of Scott’s pals and peers coming together for this one. Check out the poster for the full lineup. It’s going to be one hell of a night. 🤘

Massive thanks to Vive Le Rock for writing about the show, and to Gav for pulling this whole thing together. ❤️

Scott’s birthday. Scott’s songs. Scott’s pals. Scott’s legacy.

Grab your tickets while you can. 🔥🖤

💔 This was meant to be a quick “one year since Lost Evenings Edinburgh” post.
A year ago today, I was standing on the MAIN STAGE at the Corn Exchange - MY FU***NG HOMETOWN - playing a sold-out Lost Evenings with my brothers in The Haunted Hearts, alongside Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls and Arab Strap.

A venue I never imagined I’d even get into, never mind end up standing on that stage.

Then yesterday Frank announced he’s taking a well-earned break and suddenly this post feels a little different.

Frank - thanks for everything. ❤️ For the gigs, the opportunities, the ridiculous adventures, the laughs, the encouragement, and for always making me feel like I belong. ✊

From Berlin to Edinburgh, Antwerp to Dundee, Hamburg, Vegas, LA, Zurich and everywhere in between - we’ve somehow ended up in some pretty unbelievable places together. I still look back at some of it and think, ‘How the hell did that actually happen?’ 🔥

So here’s to Lost Evenings.

To Frank and The Sleeping Souls.

To Arab Strap, The Haunted Hearts, the crew, Emma, Irish Rob & Christian @ Bannermans, Liam, Withered Hand - and everyone who was there and helped make it what it was. 🙏

Cheers for all the memories - let’s make some more! As a wiser man than me once said, the future is unwritten. 🖤

What a fu***ng ride it’s been touring with TV Smith & The Bored Teenagers. Huge ❤️ and 🙏 to TV & the BT and the whole crew - Emma, Sally, Marc, Jonathan, Stefan, Paul and Al. Absolute pleasure sharing the road with you all. 👊

And what a way to finish it… a triumphant homecoming at Bannermans in Edinburgh. Rammed to the rafters, sweaty as sin and the warmest welcome we could have hoped for. Special thanks to the excellent Shock & Awe for opening. Edinburgh, you are magnificent. ❤️

Next up for me is the birthday STILL KINGS event for our brother Scott Sorry in Wolverhampton.

Get your tickets now and come raise a glass, make a racket so loud he can hear us, and we will celebrate Scott the way he deserves. 🔥

See you in the circle pit!! 🖤⚡️
