'It's 1945, and Beatrice is perfectly content avoiding romance at Aunt Leonata’s jazz bar, drinking, smoking, and teaching her cousin Hero how *not* to be a respectable young woman. When the local men return from war, Bea couldn’t care less. She’s not interested in settling down, playing nice, or shrinking herself to make anyone comfortable... Especially not Benedick, an old rival who seems intent on bickering with her at every opportunity he gets.'

Introducing our creative team for 2026!

We’re thrilled to announce that Ollie Sampson and Michael Schulz will be producing our 2026 production.

Returning to adapt the script and direct is Emily Fitzpatrick following our sold-out production of Twelfth Night, which we’re incredibly proud to say raised several hundred pounds for Trans Mutual Aid.

Having previously worked together to produce and direct a digital comedy show during COVID-19, Ollie and Michael have a wealth of experience between them. You may recognise Michael from our 2025 production of Twelfth Night, in which they played Sebastian. You may recognise Ollie from the audience of the same show, in which he had the loudest and most contagious laugh ever.

We are so excited to get started - keep your eyes peeled for audition information coming within the next few weeks.
