A transgender American who travelled to the Netherlands seeking asylum after expressing fears about life in the US is now reportedly seeking to return home.

Jane-Michelle Arc, a transgender software engineer from San Francisco, previously sought asylum in the Netherlands and was placed at the Ter Apel reception centre. Earlier reporting documented her decision to leave the US over concerns about safety and the political climate under Donald Trump.
