Thank you for a wonderful evening in Macclesfield.

From the drama of Haydn to the delicate beauty of Prince of Clouds, featuring violin solos from our Artistic Directors Zoë Beyers and Sarah Brandwood-Spencer. We closed with Schumann’s Rhenish Symphony, joined by extra wind players and a beautifully expanded sound.

It was wonderful to have you with us 🎶

Written after moving to Düsseldorf, this symphony captures the energy and atmosphere of the Rhineland. From flowing, uplifting music to a powerful moment inspired by Cologne Cathedral, it is a piece full of contrast and character.

What a joy it was to welcome Julian Bliss for two unforgettable concerts this weekend.

From Saturday’s orchestral programme (and Friends Q&A) to Sunday’s intimate clarinet quintets — it was a celebration of the clarinet in every sense.

What a way to start the new year... We are still buzzing after yesterdays concert! It was amazing to play for a packed church. Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at St Michael's, Macclesfield.
