Hi Vina Karaoke Bar, I would like to tell you about my experience in your bar on Saturday night, it was very poor.
Myself and 7 friends walked across Manchester to your bar, for a spot of Karaoke. Quite looking forward to a sing song and some drinks.
We went in, happily paying the ยฃ3 entry free for a Saturday night to enjoy some karaoke.
So i took a paper slip from the DJ, wrote my song down and handed it over. He took it from me and said "There are 33 people in-front of you" I looked around the bar and there was barely 50 people in the whole place, but I said it will probably take too long but I will wait a little bit and see what happens.
It was at this moment your "lovely" DJ tapped his Tips Cup and said I can get you on earlier if you want. With the cup full or ยฃ5 and ยฃ10 notes. I had ยฃ5 on me and offered it to him in, to which he said "I can move you up 5 songs for that". I said thanks for your offer mate, but im not being bribed into giving you money when I have paid to get in.
Already pretty annoyed that I have brought my mates to a Karaoke bar, paid ยฃ3 to get in and put a good ยฃ80 behind the bar in our first 10 minutes. I then find out there is some karaoke racket being run by your DJ to actually get to sing a song anyway. Basically if you want to sing your song in a reasonable amount of time between arrivals you have to pay for it - this is really poor in my opinion and for that reason myself and my friends wont be returning.
We stayed in your place for about 1hr 15mins, noticing that around 50% of the names called out to sing their songs had already left the place, so we tried our luck waiting. After we had finished out drinks we left the bar
You might be a management that don't care about customer experience, just about the bottom line. But I just wanted to let you know that if this is the experience your customers are getting, then over time you will find that your bar will suffer.
Karaoke should be the pull to bring people in, not a way to make extra cash having already charged for entry and made great margin on the drinks you sell.
Is your management aware that your DJ is doing this to customers and is he keeping all the tips?!?!
