The attendance for Sunderland’s friendly against Real Betis at the Stadium of Light yesterday was 3,763.

I’m sorry, but they’ve just been promoted back to the Premier League. Absolutely appalling.

We were misinformed on the above, the crowd was actually 13,763. Better than we first thought, hence why we were a bit shocked. 👍

Help!
Due to a change in circumstances a couple of actors have had to drop out of the Green Room's upcoming production of Brian Friel's beautiful play
Dancing at Lughnasa.

So we are looking for two actresses to play these parts:
Rose 32 She spends much of her time knitting
Chris 26, mother to Michael, who is the narrator.

Both characters sing and dance. Coaching in Irish accents will be provided.

The production plays from Monday 13th to Saturday18th October 2025, with two performances (matinee and evening) on the Saturday.

Rehearsals begin on Monday September 1st. Rehearsals are on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 and Sunday afternoons probably at 2pm, but exact time tba. There are a couple of extra rehearsals in the week running up to the First Night. All rehearsals take place at the Green Room.
