Some of us will be going into flixton con club to check the equipment and what the plans are for OTB chess etc

OTB League chess will be not be played till at least September time anyway but will sort out what we stand with the club night and what the future of playing there on a Thursday night or do we need to change night or venue?

MCF Heaton Cup

Dear Chess Friend,

We will be running the second iteration of the Heaton Cup (an online 6 round swiss tournament played over 6 weeks). The aim of the tournament is to support players looking to improve their chess, practice their long-play skills before real OTB chess resumes, and to give less experienced players the chance to gain experience of long-play.

The unique element of the tournament is that all games are analysed by the tournament organisers, and shared via round reports, and lichess studies. The tournament is free, but all participants must be ECF Members/Supporters.

The English Chess Federation (ECF) have partnered with GoMembership to provide thousands of discounts on offer from over 270 of your favourite online and high street retailers. The rewards scheme is tiered, based on your membership as follows ---

There are two main types of discounts available -

1. Gift cards
These are self-explanatory once you are on the site. They can be used online or in the store via your phone or printed off if required. 2. Vectis Card
