I haven’t carved or printed lino for a while, at least not in the last few months. I know printmaking still lives in me, it’s just stepped back a little so I can look around and see what else wants to surface. I needed to give myself permission to explore without already picturing the outcome. Right now, sketching feels like the most honest place to be. Maybe prints will come back into view later, maybe they won’t for a bit longer. I’m fine with not fully knowing, as long as I’m following what feels right today. Right now, sketching feels like the path I want to follow.
