Held in The Quiet Light , artist visited this exhibition in its final week, includes a selection of painting, film, installation and print. It ends soon please don’t miss it!

The exhibition is a quietly compelling and sensitively curated presentation that lingers well beyond the viewing, activating reflections on home, place and belonging.

artists Mike Thorpe and Stephen Milner alongside Bri Jenkins , present diverse yet dialogic practices, each grounded in material enquiry and process-led exploration.

The narrative emerges from a shared return to their place of birth; the exhibition unfolds as a nuanced meditation on memory, identity and the psychosocial dimensions of ‘home’; where sensory registers and lived experience converge through gestures that are at once nostalgic, questioning and profoundly human.

A beautiful hard back publication, postcards and prints accompanies the exhibition; on sale in the museum shop.

Closing 19 April 2026.

artists, Mike Thorpe and Stephen Milner, are exhibiting in an exciting forthcoming show that promises to be one to watch alongside Bri Jenkins.

The artists bring their distinctive approaches to material, process, and form; a reflection of the diverse practices within Mill Artists Collective.

The exhibition marks an artistic return to their place of birth, serving as a reflective journey on how one’s origins shape identity. Delving into themes of homecoming, rediscovery, and memory; exploring sensory triggers that evoke memories good and bad; and how the concept of ‘home’ influences our lives.

The work shows how the subject of home and memory can be expressed through an immersive visual experience. ‘All we’ve ever been shapes all we ever are, and informs all we ever will be’.

On display in North Gallery from 13 December 2025 to 19 April 2026

A Kickstarter campaign is now live to support the project — follow their pages for updates
