This sketch was definitely a challenge — so many different perspectives to figure out. But I stuck with it, and in the end I managed to create something I’m genuinely happy with. Each drawing feels like a step forward, and that’s what it’s all about.

Here’s one of my latest sketches 🖊️✍🏻 — I tried my hand at drawing a person sat on a bench. Honestly, it was a real challenge, but also really fun to attempt! I know it’s not perfect, but that’s the whole point — each sketch is practice, each attempt is progress, and hopefully the more I do, the more I’ll improve.

What do you think — should I keep pushing myself to sketch more people? 👀

Yesterday evening I headed over to Wardown Park with my dad and decided to do a sketch of one of the buildings there. (The Museum).

I picked my view, set up, and started drawing straight in pen (as always). It definitely came with challenges—some of the perspectives and proportions are off, but that’s exactly why it’s an interpretation, not a technical architectural piece.

Fun fact: I don’t draw in pencil. I sketch using pens only, because I like the idea of pushing through the mistakes and letting the drawing evolve naturally. Pencil gives you the option to erase and chase perfection, but pen forces you to embrace imperfection and develop your own unique style.

While drawing, we also had a lovely chat with a few curious passersby. One man even asked why I use pen—and after explaining, he was actually pretty intrigued by the whole concept!

So here’s my take on part of Wardown Park—raw, honest, imperfect, and mine.

This one was pure chaotic joy to create! 🎨🛹

I started by grabbing a bunch of different image bits, layered and blended them together, then sketched out the parts I wanted and pulled it all into this final drawing.

The end result? A toothy little menace grinding reality in a neon dreamscape. 😂🦷✨

I’m super happy with how it turned out — but now the question is:

What ridiculous combo should I mash up next?

A couple of days ago I went for a walk and took the chance to sketch the Sundon Park water tower. 🏗️

First I did a more traditional sketch to capture the shape and structure… but then I decided to challenge myself and created a miniature version using a one-line drawing technique.

Both styles came out with their own charm, and I’m loving how different approaches give different vibes — one focused on form, the other on flow.

Exploring buildings through sketching is such a fun way to study structure while still staying loose and creative. 🖋️

For a proper first attempt, I think it turned out alright. Not 100% sold on the sky (it got a bit wild), but hey—it’s all part of the learning process. Every line teaches me something new. Onwards with the experimentation!

Just messing around with pixel art and decided to try something simple—a tree with apples 🍏🌳

This was more of a test than anything, but honestly… I think I did alright! It definitely looks like a tree (which is always a good start 😅), and it’s been fun exploring a new style outside my usual sketching work.

Still learning, still experimenting—but that’s what House of the Fifth Hand is all about.

Trying something completely new with this one — pixel art! 🖥🎨
Still very much learning as I go, but I thought it would be fun to have a go at pixelating myself as 🤚🏻✨

Pixel art is a whole different style and process compared to my usual sketches, but it’s always exciting to step out of the comfort zone and explore new creative lanes. This is my first attempt — more learning and experimenting to come!

Check it out and let me know what you think!

I recently came across an old photo of my dad messing about years ago, pretending to be headless—and I had to turn it into a sketch.

I kept it rough and loose, like my usual style, but added a few extra touches to make it feel a bit funnier… and maybe a little more grim. It’s always fun turning real moments into exaggerated characters, and this one definitely brought the chaos I love to draw.

Yesterday I took a trip to Hitchin with my dad and came across this quirky little piano that I had to sketch. The perspective was definitely a challenge—way outside my comfort zone—but I’m glad I pushed myself to at least give it a go.

It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress—and attempting something tricky always feels like a win in itself.

I’ve also included the original photo so you can see what I was working from and how it translated into my style.

Started working on a shop front collage today—this is the first part of the sketch completed!

So far, I’ve finished the first shop and started blocking in the colors, but there’s still a lot more to add—shadows, window details, and the next set of buildings. This first stage alone took about 3–4 hours of sketching and colouring, but I’m really enjoying seeing it come together.

Excited to keep building this piece up and bring more life and character into the scene! Stay tuned for the next stages.
