Next one and I’m enjoying it. I’d like to get some movement in it and I don’t know how to do that. I have only blocked in the face and arms/hands so far. There is only one eye so I don’t think it’s possible to muck up alignment but who knows :)

New painting. I’m going to try and paint the same subject in two different paintings. This is the first and I’m going to paint the second at the same time. It might help me to create some space between the layers to avoid cracking. I’m also going to try and have a slighter finer finish than my last. We shall see.

This is going out to my six followers (how does one get followers?!). It’s finished unless I sit with it for a few days and notice somethings. That is is. I’m left wondering if I should be painting in a more blended way. I’ve tried and I do like it but I think I’m going to sit here for a while. Painting number 7 I think. Can you see progress? I do wonder if my more tortured, careful and controlled paintings actually produced something more pleasing? I don’t know. Have a good day x

What did I do? I couldn’t ignore any longer the misaligned eyes, slightly too far apart and wonky so, I shifted one!!! Can you tell the difference? Hardly noticeable I thought :) Got to fix this…definitely worth the time as if I cover that side of the painting the other side looks okay🤪

I was pretty tempted not to show this video…it definitely hit the ugly stage…but if I have learnt anything it is to press on when it looks like it will never be rights. It deserves another go or two :)
