Ratby Co-operative Brass Band are delighted to confirm the appointment of Melissa Brown as Musical Conductor of the Ratby Mid band.

This follows a successful and very close audition process involving Trustees, Committee and Band Members.

We look forward to welcoming Melissa to the Ratby Family in August to continue the great progress of Nicholas Garman.

Melissa commented "I'm thrilled to be offered the position with Ratby Mid Band! I really loved meeting the band and seeing how receptive they were to some of my ideas. I'm really looking forward to joining them, working together, and getting stuck in ready for the Autumn and Winter engagements"

☀️Our Fabulous Family Fun Day 2026 🎶

👏We can’t thank everyone enough for another wonderful Fun Day at the bandroom.

⭐️It is amazing that we get to open our doors (and car park) to friends, family and locals to enjoy a free afternoon of musical performances , refreshments and all round good fun. 🌟

🎼All of the bands performed and in true Ratby style we finished with a massed bands finale 🎶

Thank you to everyone who helped on the day, donated items and those who came to support the band. 👍

Now the bands are enjoying a well earned Summer break,
While we look back at smiling faces, laughter and music - Ratby Band at its best

What a lovely day at the Barrow upon Soar Street Fair today! 🎶

The Mid Band had a great time performing at such a wonderful community event, we had a few special guest conductors throughout! Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us 🎵🎺🥁
