How to Prepare for an Online Callback

The world has changed, and callbacks can now happen from almost anywhere. Wherever you are, be prepared and, most importantly, be ready to perform.Learning your script and preparing your performance are obviously important but for an online callback, you also need to be technically prepared.

Take control of your callback session.
Test everything beforehand and give yourself the best possible chance to succeed. You don’t need to spend a lot of money on your setup. Make sure your internet connection is reliable, your camera ( camera phone) is working, your sound is clear and your lighting allows us to see you properly. Choose a quiet space with a clear, uncluttered background. The focus should be on you and your performance, not what’s happening behind you.
Technical problems can happen and casting directors understand .But preparation gives you confidence.

Don’t leave anything to chance.
Take a few minutes beforehand to check everything, eliminate potential problems and make sure you’re ready to go.

On the day
Arrive in the online waiting room at least ten minutes before your audition time. And be prepared to wait. Sessions can sometimes run over, so allow yourself enough time and don’t schedule anything immediately afterwards.

Your callback is your opportunity to shine . Own it. Prepare for it. And when your moment comes, be ready to give it everything you’ve got. :)))

HOW TO SPOT A GENUINE CASTING CALL
We know how exciting it can be when you see a casting call that feels like the perfect opportunity.
now a days Casting directors do post genuine casting calls on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms. But before you submit, just take a few minutes to check.
CHECK THE CASTING DIRECTOR
Have a look at their website, previous work and professional background. Many genuine casting directors also have dedicated casting call pages on their websites, so check there too.
CHECK THE CONTACT DETAILS
Make sure the social media account, email address and submission link are genuine and connected to the casting director or production company.
NEVER PAY TO AUDITION
Most importantly, never pay simply to audition or be considered for a role. Genuine casting directors are looking for talent and are paid by the production or client to find the right people.
WHEN IN DOUBT, CHECK
If something doesn't feel right, take a moment to investigate. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking questions. It is always better to check than to take a risk.
