Imagine we had Gravity, Magnetism, Atoms etc being taught in Ga? This was all the way in the 60s.

Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary, knowing the importance of teaching these subjects in our languages, look where we are now?

How many of our students can read Ga let alone explain an atom in Ga?

The GaDangme Research Institute is one of my favourite places in Ghana and on this day I read for the first time the Ga text from the Gold Coast and Asante book. I learned so much just from the two sections I read

This video was originally 15 minutes and I’ve tried my hardest to edit it down so the algorithm will show it to you. The best I could do is 6 minutes. So enjoy.

When I was learning to speak Ga one of the things I did was to learn Ga songs. Tinny Aletse album Makola Kwakwe was my go to! He was one of the only Ga artists that represented Ga without apology and my Ga improved because of it. So happy to see you, I was so GASSED! You’ll always have my respect for what you did for me.
