"A Cracking South Asian Party with a Socially Conscious Twist"
A celebration of South Asian culture in London with a championing of progressive Human Rights causes. The Insaan Culture Club is an open cultural platform for anyone interested in South Asia – a space to connect, engage and inspire. The Insaan Culture Club promises performances by renowned and emerging South Asian talent, interspersed
with voices that highlight Human Rights issues in South Asian communities. Creating opportunities to network, make new friends, and indulge in some mouth-watering south Asian snacks. In short, audiences can expect to learn an interesting thing or two whilst being introduced to the artistic delights from south Asian heritage from UK and around the world. With the increase in conflict within south Asian communities in the UK and internationally, one thing that generally unites these communities is music, art and culture. Therefore, Insaan Culture Club was set up as a not-for-profit organisation that will host music events from progressive thinking artists, musicians and charities to address some of the socio-political injustices on human rights in south Asian diaspora.
· Insaan Culture Club’s aims are to provide secular, informal, socially conscious, creative, thematically south Asian events that audiences from all backgrounds can participate in.
· Providing high standard of music, art and other creative cultural forums, where participants experience something new, quirky and innovative.
· Offering a space and experiences that stimulates free thinking and challenges complacency hence motivating audiences to be active citizens and be aware of human rights issues locally and globally specifically relating to south Asia.
· Insaan Culture Club will be giving new artists an opportunity to perform on the same platform as established artists.
· Raising the profile of British Asian arts in south Asian communities.
· Developing a network of progressive thinking voices from all sectors of the south Asian communities especially those from minority Ethnic groups.
· Insaan Culture Club ambassadors, actively help to increase our visibility and outreach.
· Insaan Culture Club organizes benefit events, talks, interviews, music, sports and social media activities addressing the Insaan Culture Club social inclusion targets and program of events.
