Dear Brothers and Sisters Back Home,

We want to speak to you from a place of love, honesty, and shared struggle.

Many times, when we send money home or offer support, the first thing some people look at is the exchange rate, not the sacrifice behind it. There’s a belief that once someone is living abroad, life is automatically easy and money flows without struggle. But the truth is very different.

Over here, we work long hours, often doing hard, physical jobs—in the cold, under pressure, and sometimes in conditions we would never have imagined back in Nigeria. Nothing comes easy. Every pound earned comes with sweat, stress, and sacrifice. We pay high rent, high taxes, and face challenges daily just to survive, build, and still support those we care about back home.

So when we send something, no matter how small, please understand that it came from real effort. It is not leftovers—it is a piece of our hard work.

We are not asking for praise. We are only asking for understanding and appreciation. A simple “thank you” goes a long way. What we give is from love, not because we have excess. Please don’t measure our value by the exchange rate; measure it by the heart behind the gesture.

Life abroad is not the paradise many imagine. The grass is not always greener—it only looks green from far away. We all face our own battles, and the weight we carry is heavier than most people realise.

Let us support one another with gratitude and empathy. We are all just trying to survive and uplift each other.

A lady called a shoemaker to help fix her slippers. As usual, she left him in the compound and went inside.
She no know say her landlord dey balcony with binoculars of gossip. 👀😂

Shoemaker finish work, call the lady to test it.
Before she even bend leg, landlord shout:

“Madam stop! Don’t try it! Shoemaker, wear it first!”

Shoemaker: “Oga no nah…”
Everyone: “WEAR IT!” 😭🔥
