Happy Friday travel lovers 💙 I hope you’ve all got nice trips planned to get away from muggy London during the heatwave. Here’s a little video from my trip to Weymouth last week. A really reasonably priced trip considering how beautiful the hike was👌
I recently visited the West Coast of Mexico, specifically the towns of San Pancho, Sayulita, Puerto Vallarta, Mismaloya, Boca de Tomatlan and Yelapa. It’s a very touristy part of the world, mainly Americans and Canadians, and can be quite noisy, dusty and dirty, but there are some real gems and the place has a lot of character and colour. Here are some photos from the trip, if you’d like any information, tips or have questions about this trip, feel free to get in touch. I might write up about the trip at some point, let me know if that’s something you’d like to read about 🙏🤓

Happy weekend friends! Since not being able to travel, I’ve been creating paintings of some of the lovely places round the world I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Please feel free to come and have a look on Artscapades where I’m posting weekly now 🙏

Some interesting commentary and of course I’m stoked that the photo was well received 🙏 and humbled to have been chosen as a winner 🤩🤓
Very excited, proud and honoured to have been selected as a winner in the Your Best Shot 2020 competition run by Flickr / Smugmug. This photo certainly wasn’t an easy capture, it was a long swim off the coast of Antalya followed by lots of treading water and trying to see through my snorkel mask and through the plastic case on my iPhone 😅😅😅 I was very pleased with the outcome though. The waves get smoother the further out you swim. Thanks very much to the judges for sifting through the 18k entries and deciding on mine! 🙏🙏🙏
An interesting article for anyone wanting to improve their photography... 🤓

Happy Monday friends! As some of you know, I've been growing a collection of portraits of London over the years, mostly focusing on rainy days in the City, which are obviously quite frequent here! Some photos from a recent day trip to the lovely seaside town of Margate. The beach can be gorgeously empty in December! We came across a dead seal near Cliftonville which was a sad moment... Nature can be harsh and beautiful at the same time. All in all a Fab trip. Found a new favourite perfume at Haeckels and the greenest plant cafe I've ever seen! Snuck into Dreamland for a few sneaky selfies and had breakfast on a double decker bus. Before I knew it was time to go home...

My recent photo of the Gherkin has received a *highly commended* from the auspicious Square Mile magazine - lots of awesome abstract photos of the City of London in there!
It's a great time of year for capturing Autumn around London... Leaves are everywhere!
One of THE BEST recommendations I can make when ordering food in another country, is to trust your waitress/waiter's advice, they will have seen or tried almost every dish on the menu and have seen every customers reaction after eating it. It's an almost fail safe method. Especially if you can't make your mind up between two dishes.... 👌
Happy Thursday everyone! I wrote this article about 9 months ago now. I like to think my writing has improved since then as I've been practicing regularly. It's definitely now a good time of year to go visit Canterbury and take a boat down the river👌

My trips in the UK are few and far between, but I’m always pleasantly surprised by how beautifully manicured England can be and Canterbury is no exception. Aside from its grand status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it maintains a pleasant small-town charm, with a youthful energy brought in by a ...
When Beyonce was asked what animal she would be, she replied "A whale" ... Interesting answer! She picked one of the world's most mysterious animals. If you ever want the chance to see one for yourself, you can do it here:

If you haven’t heard of the Azores, join the club! I only found out about this little cluster of 9 colourful islands sitting out in the middle of the Atlantic recently and didn’t waste any time booking my ticket to Ponta Delgada, capital of the biggest island, Sao Miguel. This insanely green, vo...

Happy Friday 13th! Lucky for some.. 😉 Have you ever tried something that really took you outside your comfort zone? Here's my experience... And the fantastic picture is by the multi-talented Tim Nugent.

If you love flowers and partying, although perhaps not at the same time, then yes it is! And with a new direct Eurostar service up and running for 2018, there really isn’t much stopping you. There is no better time to visit a city, than when the locals are celebrating their beloved King’s birthd...

https://www.aluxurytravelblog.com/2018/03/11/get-your-sparkle-back-in-varkala/
India is renowned for its crammed, crazy cities, bursting with colour and culture, and for years I avoided going in case it might all be too much for me! That was until I discovered Varkala, a breath of fresh coastal air, in the Southern spice province of Kerala. Instead of taking the motorway from....

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve visited Plymouth now, but this historical, marine city by the sea just keeps giving me new experiences. Here are my top picks for a weekend visit: Walking the Hoe Firstly, blow those cobwebs away and get yourself oriented by taking a breezy saunter along the se...

In case you didn't see all the recent flower pics, here are some more! I really do recommend the Keukenhof - the Tulips garden, Holland ... what a stunning place!
https://www.flickr.com/gp/jennika/f4J7YB
I've never seen so many flowers in one place! What a sight... the smell of the Hyacinth and the kaleidescope of colours and textures, mixed with a healthy dose of sunshine gave me a natural high for the day!
I haven't been anywhere exciting for a while now... but Iran really hit the spot! Beautiful buildings, unusual new flavours of food, and really kind welcoming people. I visited Tehran, Shiraz, Persepolis and Esfahan. There wasn't really all that much time for snapping as we had a lot of Mosques and Palaces to squeeze in, some places being particularly wary and sensitive about photography etiquette, but all in all, most places were OK with the camera. Ill write up the trip too for anyone interested in visiting! https://www.flickr.com/photos/jennika/sets/72157672460941634
