LISA ROSE’S darkly funny & personal solo show about her experience at a global film company in the 90's, still relevant today. *A story about friendship, power & surviving Weinstein’s heliocentric hell. Lisa has drawn from her experience working in the media industry in the 90's. The show's central theme is the abuse of power dynamics in the workplace. Yet it's lightened by moments of comedy and performance theatre. It elevates one woman's voice and her small story to explore the question, 'Can an actress be successful without using her sexuality in a male dominated industry?' It wasn't meant to be a solo show, but her co-creator Paula B.Stanic convinced her that it'd work! The show is directed by Tracy Bargate. Theatre fans will know Tracy enjoys working on productions that celebrate and empower women. Her recent shows include: 'Not Bloody Likely' and 'Yarn'. The show is truthful, touching and more timely than ever during the media debate about misgogny in society and government initiatives to reduce violence against women and girls. It's a show for men, women and everyone in between as it explores power dynamics. Past audience reviews at The Park theatre in 2004 for the work in progress version called it 5 stars and said 'It's terrific, engaging and memorable' and 'A story that must never stop being told'.
