Meet The Belles: Poppy

We are delighted to introduce Niamh O’Donnell as Poppy in "Death Belles".

Niamh is a Glaswegian actor and writer, and a 2023 Rose Bruford BA Acting graduate. She’s appeared in The Decameron (Netflix), starred in immersive theatre like The Paddington Bear Experience, and written & performed her own works including Cianalas and Treading Water.

"Death Belles" is a gripping quartet of darkly lyrical tales where lies, grief, and vengeance weave a tangled web. Lines are irreversibly crossed; truth blurs, lives unravel, and the past won’t stay buried. These raw confessionals pulse with menace and despair - because some stories don’t just surprise you. They haunt you.

The Lexicon Lounge: Evolution
Sunday 14th September 2025, 7:30pm in King’s Cross

Step into London’s home of words and music. The Lexicon Lounge returns with a night of bold voices, sharp stories, and live performance - all exploring this month’s theme: Evolution.

Expect a hand-picked line-up of poets, storytellers, and musicians, each bringing their own take on change, growth, and transformation. Intimate, unpredictable, and alive with energy, it’s part spoken word showcase, part gig, part gathering of curious minds.

Plus, the stage is yours: limited open mic slots give emerging voices the chance to share their work alongside our featured performers.

Previous nights have sold out - don’t leave it late. Come for the words, stay for the atmosphere, and be part of the community that’s making London’s spoken word scene thrive.

DEATH BELLES WORKSHOP

Last night we brought Death Belles to life in a closed-door workshop at The Morris Space , led by director and written by .

Under Penny’s assured and generous direction, the session became a space for rich exploration, character analysis, and deep dives into the text - all balanced with games and a spirit of collaboration.

Death Belles is a one-hour theatrical piece composed of four dark, lyrical monologues: Faulty, Threshold, All That Remains, and The Prophecy - exploring the moments when women cross irreversible lines…

Tippy has now stepped away from her role as Creative Director at Open Page to pursue new creative adventures.

We’re so grateful for the energy and ideas she brought to the company, and we’ll be cheering her on as she takes this next step.
