Posting until my community grows to 500 people ✨

Starting a community taught me far more about myself than it did about other people.

I never planned to speak. I never wanted to express myself so openly, or reveal the parts of me I once kept hidden from the world.

But building Xhale made me realise something powerful:
if I stayed silent, there are people out there who may never discover the courage to find their own voice.

So I was pushed to find mine.
To be at peace with who I am.
To stand boldly in that conviction.

And now, through Xhale, I want to help others do the same.

Keeping Dreams Alive 💛💙

A lot of people carry dreams they never get to live out. Not because they lack potential, but because they lack the right environment.

There was a time I struggled to believe in what I could become simply because I couldn’t see it.

What made the difference was having the right people around me: community, support, and a platform to grow.

That’s what Xhale Global is about.

We connect writers across the world, give them space to express themselves, and build a community that actually supports them.

Six years ago, I attended an emergency youth summit for young people in Croydon. It was a space that exposed both the struggles within our communities and the weight many people carry in silence.

I can speak about community and its pain, but I’ve also learned that no matter where you come from, you are not limited by it. ❌

Being different is a choice. Speaking up is a choice. Being bold is a choice. Even going back to help your community is a choice.

For me, Xhale is more than writing poetry. It is about sharing it, speaking when others can’t, creating space for others to find their voice, and being unapologetically yourself. ❤️

Let me tell you a story about a young girl who wrote poetry.

At 14, I was battling depression and dark thoughts. Writing was the only way I could breathe, so I poured everything into my notes.

I kept going. Then one day at church, my Pastor told me I had a gift and needed to take it seriously.

At 16, I stood in front of 1,000 people and performed my first poem.

Now at 23, I lead a global writing community, helping others find their voice and share their stories, just like I did.

I did not start sharing because I wanted to. I shared because I was told the world needed to hear me.

And the same is true for you.

If you have been hiding your writing, the world needs your voice.

Writing is powerful. It gives people the freedom to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that can reach others deeply. Through poetry, spoken word, and storytelling, we saw how self-expression can inspire positive change, open conversations around mental health, and remind people that they are not alone. Words have the ability to touch people not only in the room, but beneath the surface of the heart and mind.

The room was filled with powerful voices, raw talent and unstoppable energy. Every poet, singer and creative brought the dream to life in their own unique way. The love, the vibes and the sense of community were unmatched.
