Dear African woman, you were once a girl, and today, you have girls around you who need your voice, your courage, and your protection.

On this International Day of the Girl Child, let’s stop saying, “She’s not my child.” Every girl deserves to grow up safe, loved, and free from child marriage and every form of abuse. You may not be able to save every girl, but you can do something for the one within your reach.

The girls we protect today will become the women who protect others tomorrow. Let’s be part of the change. End child marriage NOW!

The fear of loneliness, sometimes keeps us in places where we’ve already lost our peace.

You saw the signs. You experienced the hurt firsthand. You found the courage to leave but then the apology came, and you went back, hoping this time would be different, even while expecting the worst.

Yet, the promised change never comes. Instead, you begin to normalize the chaos, convincing yourself that it’s better than being alone.

Choosing yourself may be scary, but staying where you keep getting hurt comes at a cost too. My braided wig is from Go get yours from them.

Your best friend’s husband is cheating and now you’ve been promoted to Chief Information Officer of a marriage you didn’t apply for.

Do you tell your bestie immediately, gather evidence first, or mind your business and let heaven handle it? Because “I saw nothing” is suddenly looking like a full-time job.

What would YOU do?

Sis, deep down, you already know what you’re meant to do. You’ve even given it a name, created a logo, and imagined how it will look when it finally comes to life.
But somehow, that’s where it ends.

The dream refuses to leave, yet you keep waiting for more money, more equipment, more time, a better start.

But what if you simply started with what you have?

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Small beginnings are significant. So don’t bury that passion. Fan it. Nurture it. Take the first step.

Sharing a problem is only half the journey. The other half is being heard, understood, and guided towards a helpful solution.

This woman is clearly carrying deep trauma, yet she has chosen to stay and perhaps, over time, developed her own way of surviving the marriage. But even in sharing her pain, she still doesn’t seem truly heard.

She is patiently waiting for a day when one of them leaves this earth, and the other is left standing.

Is marriage or any relationship supposed to be this hard?

Maybe sometimes, what people need isn’t a verdict, but genuine help.

Sometimes, we mistake growth for losing ourselves because we’re searching for a version of us that no longer fits.

You’ve had experiences she never had. You know things she didn’t know. You carry lessons, disappointments, joy, wisdom and scars that have shaped you.

So maybe healing isn’t about becoming her again.

Maybe it’s about getting curious about who you are now and learning to love this version too.

Because you don’t always find yourself by going back. Sometimes, you find yourself by finally meeting who you’ve become.

There are seasons when it feels like everybody got the memo except you.
People are getting ticking things off their list and you got nothing.

It can be frustrating. Especially when you’ve been trying.

But the truth is, this season has an expiry date.

Whatever you’re dealing with right now won’t last forever. DO NOT GIVE UP.

After all the planning, we’ve earned this weekend. And this is how we’re dancing into Ladies Escape 3.0: The Cozy Sleepover.

There’s always something to do, something to organise, something demanding your attention. But sometimes, you really do need to put it all down for a minute.

Play the music. Go out. Have a laugh. Dance. Do something completely unrelated to work.

And then come back to it on Monday.
For now, we’re dancing.

I’m already getting everything ready for Ladies Escape 3.0 and I honestly cannot wait to see the women who will step away from the everyday and give themselves permission to just breathe, connect, laugh, rest and have a good time.
