❄️ Winter is coming… are our beanies and gloves ready? 🧤

Created a Canva template.
200+ gsm paper.
Zero control after that.

The children took over: cutting, colouring, sticking and creating winter fashion statements I didn’t know they needed.

Yes, there was mess.
But the results? Absolutely worth the clean-up 🧹✨

Simple, budget-friendly and perfect for lots of little creatives.
Would I do it again?
YES!

When making crafts with kids and adults, I’ve noticed there’s often this expectation for everything to look perfectly perfect, as if we’re competing with what we see online. But that pressure usually leads to frustration and completely misses the joy, mindfulness, and creativity that crafting should bring.

You can absolutely have a plan, a theme, a vision board, gather your materials, personality it's a must, but don’t be too strict with it. You’re not building a public bridge! You’re allowed to fail, restart, and drift from your original idea.

That’s exactly how I run my kids’ craft clubs and events. Everyone’s at a different stage, and that’s what makes it beautiful. I celebrate their individuality and remind them that vision boards are just guidance, the real magic happens when they express themselves freely.

I’ve truly won when I see their creativity flow and a smile on their faces.
