Join us Saturday for our fun and relaxed Kids Club.

Ahead of the performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, children and families are warmly invited to take part in a hands-on creative workshop at Art in the Docks studio, where imaginations can run wild through themed arts and crafts inspired by the show. Participants will have the exciting opportunity to make fairy-inspired wands and flower crowns, which might just be used later in the play to become part of the magic on stage. Celebrating creativity, collaboration, and the joy of making theatre together, the workshop and performance promise a memorable experience for children and families alike.

Join us Saturday for “Midsummer Magic” 🪾🧚‍♂️

Families are invited to tumble headfirst into a world of fairy magic, theatrical chaos, and larger-than-life laughter in Midsummer Magic, a vibrant children’s adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Packed with playful storytelling, physical comedy, and moments of joyful audience delight, this retelling introduces children to Shakespeare through imagination, humour, and heart.

Ahead of the performance, children and families are warmly invited to take part in a hands-on creative workshop at Art in the Docks studio, where imaginations can run wild through themed arts and crafts inspired by the show. Participants will have the exciting opportunity to make fairy-inspired creations- offering a unique chance to become part of the magic on stage.

Celebrating creativity, collaboration, and the joy of making theatre together, the workshop and performance promise a memorable experience for children and families alike.

The last week has been mental health awareness week. This week highlights the importance of good mental health, challenges, stigma, and promotes practical action people can take to support their own well-being.

Here at Art In The Docks, we believe the art can be a valuable tool in strengthening mental health. Participating in artistic practice can help you externalize emotion, build agency, strengthen social connections, and provide an outlet for nonverbal expression.

Our creative health and well-being program is a biweekly opportunity to engage in artistic practice. Whether you’re looking to unwind, meet new people, or develop new skills, this workshop provides a safe and inclusive environment for all abilities.

Happening biweekly at our studio space from 1:30 to 3:30. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to try something new. All materials are provided.
