Christian Him’s Jazz Index is a photo library which specialises in jazz, blues and contemporary music containing thousands of black & white and colour images. Founded in 1979 by Award winning photographer Christian Him, we work in close collaboration with jazz archivists and writers and represents the work of some of the best music photographers worldwide. Jazz Index's archives offers a wide range of unique photographs: images of the icons of jazz, the big bands of the 40's and 50's, the legendary jazz clubs, and also rare atmospheric images which capture the spirit of jazz and improvisation.
