So proud of Talent Is Timeless artist Rebecca Richards for making onto the BBC Wales A-List!

Quick tip on taking a good pic. It's the squinty eye thing! AKA Lower Lid Flex. Taking a good picture requires effort and skill. Time and money. Discomfort of being in front of the camera. I understand why artists are reluctant to invest in getting good pictures. But having even just a few can really help you be taken more seriously 'professionally'.

Last week we wrapped episode 2 of Talent Is Timeless. I can't help but feel proud of how well I adapted to wearing a cowboy hat in the middle of Camden. Btw people keep telling me the last pic in this series is great but I disagree strongly. I've left it up here so you can decide. Most of these pics feature me, or me with director Alex pulling faces.

Hello from Abbey Road! This week Jeff and I have seen so many talent is timeless artists exceed their own expectations and make unbelievable beautiful recordings at this incredible studio. As always, it’s an honour to see songwriters over 50 going for, and achieving, their dreams. Congrats to everyone involved!

Serious question - I'm genuinely curious. What if you don't 'need the money' as an artist - should you still charge for concerts? Merch? etc.? Or is paying for those things an essential part of what makes a fan?

This is one of my favourite pictures from the Talent Is Timeless episode 1 premiere. It looks like I'm telling the punch line of a joke, or a hilarious secret to the audience. I have 0 memory of what I was saying at that moment, but I really had fun on stage talking about everything we've been up to for the last 5 years!

Say hello to the film team! We wouldn't have any Talent Is Timeless episodes without them. It's been incredible to see this team perform at such a high level - flying over the ocean, staying up to try to beat the jet lag, making jokes, looking out for each other, for me, and for Talent Is Timeless members on camera. And then zipping off for another series of flights and projects. I feel like we have some kind of whirlwind jet setting relationship where I mostly see them at top recording studios, far flung remote picturesque places, and on and off flights. A mix of glamour, sleeplessness and take away pizza. I know that wherever we land, that same hilarious and lovely dynamic opens up with us. And then later we get to see the real gem - the episode or video we've created.
What you can't see in the episode is how much fun it was to make. How we rented a log cabin in Vermont, spotted Cyber trucks in New York, swapped albums of music on long road trips, how Alex did all the driving because I forgot to bring my driving licence with me, and how much care everyone takes when interviewing members who are sometimes sharing their homes, families and inner most thoughts about their music with us. I can't wait to do more and to tell more members stories. The episodes are fun to think about, fun to film, and very rewarding to release publicly. I think theres a bit of not-so-fun editing in the middle, but I never see that part ;)
