Just took down Time, Carried Ashore for the second time yesterday at The Gallery, Thames-Side Studios SE18.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to present my latest photographic installation in The Gallery at Thames-Side. Although the location within the space had changed, the installation still took around four hours to complete. Working in a different corner offered a fresh perspective, and I was pleased to discover a configuration that suited both the work and the space particularly well.

Very appreciated to curators Broughton & Birnie and Phil for providing such an ideal location and generous wall space. Their support allowed me the freedom to explore the installation’s relationship with the gallery environment and to realise the work in a way that felt both engaging and cohesive.

I am very grateful for the opportunity and delighted with the outcome.😍

The door is OPEN! 🚪💛✨
We wanted everyone to know that our theme is inspired by the venue itself. 😁💛

Before we began our show, we had a few team meetings. I asked everyone, “What’s your wish for our flyer?” Murude said, “It would be great to see the door open!”

Then I presented the idea and design plan to Denna, the founder of House of Denna — and she loved it! So here we are… it worked! The door is open! 😁 You can’t imagine how happy I was when it truly happened! 😁😁

Been working on this project “At The Guard Room” lately — it’s opened up a whole new area I’ve never explored before.

House of Denna used to be a riverside guard room. The photo (no.1) was taken sometime between 1931 and 1999 — likely from when the building had no roof, before the council added one around 1999.

I brought this bit of history into the flyer design to reflect transformation and the passage of time.

Sharing some of my happiest moments from the recent Open Studio event 🧡

Thank you so much to everyone who visited me two weeks ago, and huge thanks to Thames-Side Studios for organising such a brilliant event!

I had so many great conversations — about my latest project, some of my earlier works, and even ideas for future ones. It was truly inspiring and energising 💬✨

I’m also really sorry I didn’t get to meet some of you in person — I was in and out quite a bit (honestly, I wish I had a second RuRu to help me out 🤣).

I hope to see you again next year — even if you’ve already been, it’ll be a different experience, because I’m still making new work all the time 🥰
