Pietra De Mello-Pittman MBE, a former Royal Ballet ballerina and co-founder, complements Ella’s vision with her expertise in creative production, ensuring a captivating blend of art and storytelling. Diversity and accessibility are core values at Sisters Grimm, reflected in their youth engagement programs that run alongside their artistic productions. The Sisters Grimm Charitable Trust was established to deliver educational art activities that complement their award-winning shows. One of their most acclaimed productions, INALA, co-created by Ella Spira and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, achieved global success, including a Grammy nomination. The show has featured world-class performers such as Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Soweto Gospel Choir, and dancers from the Royal Ballet and Rambert. INALA has performed in prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall, Marina Bay Sands, and the West End, marking a milestone with a Royal Albert Hall performance on World Ballet Day and Black History Month.
