One of London’s must see art exhibitions this summer 🌿
Our Twentieth Century team visited Henry Moore: Monumental Nature at Kew Gardens, the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of Moore’s work ever presented.
Across Kew’s extraordinary landscape, 30 monumental sculptures span almost 70 years of the career of one of the most influential British artists of the twentieth century.
But to truly understand Henry Moore is to look beyond their scale.
From the curves and contours of the human body to bones, shells, stones and the landscape itself, Moore found inspiration in the relationship between humanity and the natural world.
His sketches, drawings and maquettes offer another fascinating perspective, revealing how these observations and ideas evolved into monumental form.
Here, surrounded by Kew’s trees, gardens and changing light, you can experience his sculpture in the setting Moore believed it belonged.
Watch as our Twentieth Century specialists explore the ideas, influences and creative process behind his remarkable work.
Henry Moore: Monumental Nature is at Kew Gardens until 20 September 2026.
Save this for your summer culture list.
