This little ballerina was inspired by a real little girl whose confidence stopped me in my tracks. ❤️

Growing up, many children never saw themselves reflected in books, artwork, greeting cards, or even ballet.

Sometimes confidence begins with seeing someone who looks like you doing the thing you dream about.

This little ballerina wasn’t created to follow an algorithm or a passing trend. She was inspired by a real little girl.
A little girl with a glorious afro, a fluffy pink tutu, and enough confidence to stop me mid-scroll. ❤️
Growing up, so many children never saw themselves represented in books, greeting cards, artwork, or even ballet. That’s why I create.

Because when a child sees themselves reflected back at them, they don’t just feel seen—they start to believe that every dream is possible.
They belong on the stage.
They belong in the story.
They belong in the spotlight.

From the funny comments to the emotional conversations, the love and support you show this brand truly means more than you know.

Hearing things like “my child finally saw themselves” or “I wish I had this growing up” honestly makes all the hard work worth it.

For me, Fefus has always been about more than just products. It’s about making people — especially children — feel seen, celebrated, confident, and proud of who they are. And knowing these little characters and gifts are doing that in some way?

That will never stop meaning everything to me.

I had the absolute pleasure of supplying a range of colouring pages, bookmarks and creative activities for the very first taking place this Sunday 17 May at Big Penny Social in East London 🎨✨

I’m so passionate about creating inclusive, creative resources that allow ALL children to feel seen, inspired and free to express themselves creatively — because boys deserve spaces to explore art, imagination and storytelling too.

This amazing event in partnership with Male Allies UK will give boys the opportunity to meet pilots, try new sports, explore wilderness adventures, connect with authors and artists, and discover what being a boy means to them in a positive and empowering way.
Although designed for boys aged 7–11, everyone is welcome 💫

Dreaming bigger has always been the plan, but what’s coming next is on a whole new level. 🚀✨

For those who are new to this corner of the internet, and for the incredible community who has been here building with me: Hi, I’m Fiona—illustrator, storyteller, and the curator of representation behind Fefus Designs. 🎨💛

I started Fefus for the child who stood in front of the retail shelves and couldn't find a single reflection of themselves. Because the truth is, representation isn’t just a nice-to-have. It shapes identity. When our children see themselves reflected with beauty, leadership, and pure, unfiltered joy, it completely changes how they view their future.

Every single character I sketch is designed to remind them of one thing: they are visible, they are valued, and they are worthy of taking up space. 🌍✨

We’ve already brought that "Big Energy" to your homes, but Fefus is growing far beyond the product on the shelf. We are expanding into new, underrepresented cultures, and building a full storytelling universe—complete with animation and visual stories that put diverse children and families right where they belong: center stage. 🎬💫
