CaféTurc Music & Arts In 2005, CaféTurc opened the doors of the Karagöz Art Center, an artistic residency located in the beautiful town of Ayvalik on the shores of the Aegean Sea.

Fondée à Paris en 1996, implantée en France et en Turquie, CaféTurc Music & Arts promeut les répertoires et talents des musiques de Turquie. Des musiques populaires au jazz, de la musique classique turque aux musiques urbaines, CaféTurc invite à découvrir la richesse et la diversité du patrimoine musical ainsi que de la création contemporaine de ce pays se situant au carrefour de l’Europe, de l’Asie et la Méditerranée. Avec plus de 300 concerts réalisés dans une trentaine de pays, CaféTurc est une référence professionnelle qui s’attache à proposer une offre artistique créative et de qualité. En 2005, CaféTurc a ouvert les portes du Centre d’Art Karagöz, un lieu de résidence artistique situé dans la splendide bourgade d’Ayvalik sur les bords de la Mer Égée. En marge de la musique, CaféTurc est actif depuis 2019 dans le champ des arts de la scène, de la création et production en théâtre et de danse contemporaine.

From folk music to jazz, from Turkish classical music to urban sounds, CaféTurc invites to discover the richness and diversity of the musical heritage and contemporary creation of this country located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Mediterranean. With more than 300 concerts performed in over thirty countries, CaféTurc is a professional reference dedicated to offering creative and high-quality artistic performances. In addition to music, since 2019 CaféTurc has been active in the field of performing arts, production in theater and contemporary dance.

1996’da Paris’te kurulmuş, Fransa ve Türkiye merkezli olan CaféTurc Music & Arts, Türkiye’nin müzikal zenginliğini ve yeteneklerini tanıtmaktadır. Halk müziğinden caza, Türk Sanat Müziği’nden güncel müziklere uzanan bir yelpazede, Avrupa, Asya ve Akdeniz’in kesişim noktasındaki bulunan bu coğrafyanın kültürel mirasını ve çağdaş üretimini keşfetmeye davet ediyor. Otuzdan fazla ülkede gerçekleştirdiği 300’ün üzerindeki konserle CaféTurc, yaratıcı ve nitelikli sanatsal projeler sunmayı ilke edinmiş bir referanstır.

2005 yılında Ege’nin incisi Ayvalık’ta Karagöz Sanat Evi’nin kapılarını açmıştır. CaféTurc, müziğin yanı sıra 2019 yılından bu yana sahne sanatları alanında yaratım ve yapım çalışmalarıyla da aktif olarak faaliyet göstermektedir.

From Montreux Jazz Festival to Sónar Barcelona, CEM YILDIZ has performed at major electronic and world music festivals across Europe and Türkiye, constantly reinventing his signature sound on stage.

With his electrified saz, hypnotic vocals, and electronic machines, the « modern-day shaman » pushes the boundaries of Anatolian folk music, transporting audiences into the vibrant soundscape of Istanbul.

A pioneer in the fusion of Turkish folk traditions and electronic music, he has developed a singular musical universe. His international hits “Stil”, “Ejma” and “Atlas”, created in collaboration with Acid Arab, are also part of this ongoing exploration.

Nicknamed the “Electro-Dede” or “Electro-Ashik” in reference to the troubadours and poets of Anatolia, CEM YILDIZ continues the long lineage of these bards of freedom and tolerance, who, saz in hand and poetry on their lips, have traversed the centuries.

Üç gün süren “Ege’de Meşk – Ayvalık Müzik Atölyeleri”ne katılan müzisyenler, usta eğitmenler Okay Temiz, Gülcan Kaya ve Salih Korkut Peker ile Frans Bistro’da sahne alıyor.

Atölyelerde birlikte çalıştıkları repertuvarı açık sahnede seyircilerle paylaşacak, hep birlikte meşk edecekler.
