Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending a study day of Marilyn Monroe at the British Film Institute.

It was particularly wonderful to listen to Rosie Broadley, the senior curator at the National Portrait Gallery, who gave us the current "Marilyn Monroe. A Portrait" Exhibition in conversation with Kimberly Sheehan, the lead programist and Marilyn season curator at BFI.

I was spellbound when Mrs Broadly talked about putting the exhibition together, the trips and choices she had to make. It was fascinating and very insightful to learn about the process behind the mammoth task that she had in hand.

Mrs Broadly truly dived deep into Marilyn Monroe world and she is telling us quite a story. I really appreciated the way she spoke about Marilyn and shift in the narrative in Marilyn's herstory.

If you haven't already seen the exhibition please visit it. It is truly wonderful. Especially all the photographs. They made me fall in love with Marilyn all over again.
