You can pre-order the album now, including on exclusive sky-blue vinyl, and hear the new track “Traffic Lights,” featuring vocals, piano, and synth from , at link in bio.

Flea composed and arranged the music and plays trumpet and bass throughout, joined by an elite crew of modern jazz visionaries: album producer and saxophonist , guitarist , bassist , and drummer . The record features vocals from Flea, as well as friends Thom Yorke and . and , among others, also join the band. ‘Honora’ comprises six original songs, plus interpretations of tunes by and Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell.

Meanwhile, here we shine a light on his warm exploratory sound, his critically-acclaimed solo records, his work with Leon Bridges and Jeff Parker, producing Me’shell Ndegeocello’s GRAMMY-winning The Omnichord Real Book, his collaboration with Carlos Niño and Nate Mercereau on Openness Trio, his experience at Big Ears 2025, and how his curiosity has continues to evolve.

💫Reposted from • After a nearly five-decade career as one of his generation’s defining rock bassists, time and space have finally allowed to work with a dream band of modern jazz visionaries, returning to his first instrument and musical love, the trumpet, for a new album due in 2026 on Nonesuch. A preview, his original song “A Plea,” is out now. You can hear it at link in bio.

Written and performed by Flea, “A Plea” urges listeners to “build a bridge, shine a light, make something beautiful and see somebody, give it to somebody.” Featuring Flea on electric bass, vocals, and trumpet, the ensemble also includes double bassist and guitarist , as well as drummer , percussionist , alto flutist , and trombonist . Chris Warren joins on vocals, as does the song’s producer , who also plays alto saxophone.

Also out today: a music video, directed by and featuring choreography by .
