Woohoo! I am free at last! 🇬🇧✈️

After weeks of relentless emails to my MP, a marathon with the Passport Office, and even popping up on the BBC news and live TV, I finally have my British passport in hand.

I’m heading home this Friday! I suspect my neighbours here at the Spanish Diva Apartment, Jardin Botanico, La Cala will be breathing a collective sigh of relief. They’ve had a front-row seat (whether they wanted it or not) to my gusty renditions of Handel and Vivaldi, spanning the full emotional spectrum of despair, anger, hope, and—finally—joy. 🎶

Huge thanks to my MP, Rupa Huq, who was absolutely brilliant, and to the team at the Passport Office who helped untangle the Home Office’s mess.

Now, it’s time for a very well-deserved vino. 🍷

When you go to Spain to escape the London winter and the UK quietly changes the rules mid‑sangria 🍹
Apparently dual nationals can’t enter the UK on their other passport anymore… starting 25 Feb.
Guess who doesn’t have a British one? 🙋‍♀️
And since they still haven’t invented Teleportation here’s my current status:
❌ No ETA
❌ No consulate help
❌ Alternative option has long waits and big fees
❌ No guarantee British passport will be done in time for trip home
✔️ Fantastic view, though
