It is the first of its kind in Nigeria, profiling authoritative biographical data with email addresses, statistics, current locations and contact phone numbers of filmmakers, directors, screenwriters, producers, celebrities and major stakeholders in the Nigerian Entertainment community; it also identified distinguished personalities whom are achievers and fun-loving creatures. Some who are famous for their unusual behavior, others for their extravagance, snobbery, womanizing, and sense of humor or controversial lifestyles. Urbanmingles Entertainment Media Limited being the company behind these projects is proud of the continuity of all of its projects, most of which have been streamlined into the Nigeria’s rebranding campaign, using information as a tool and power for the individuals of today’s complex and fast-moving world. Although Nollywood‘s emergence as a viable film culture in Africa resulted in many myths festering about its origin; but with this encyclopedia project which generally contain concise biographical information, history and statistics of Nollywood and the Arts and Culture sector; the public do not have any excuse or ignorance about who’s doing what, where and how in those sectors. The project remains an ongoing compilation and is by no means complete in reflecting all the people that have made the greatest impacts but every attempt was made to reflect the little information published as accurate as possible.
